Sometimes codes like MT emerge into popular use on Twitter and other social networking sites and many of us are left clueless as to what they mean.
MT usually means “Modified Tweet” – a Retweet (RT) that has been modified in some way.
HT is another one you see quite often, and usually means either “Hat Tip” or “Heard Through.”
