Twitter now let’s you upload a stylish header to your profile, but there is a catch…
To upload a header image, go into your Twitter settings and look for the place to upload the header image just below where you upload your profile image. But beware the “Internal Server Error!” A lot of folks are getting an error when trying to upload their images. I ran into it myself, and played around with the image to find a solution for y’all.
Here is what to look out for:
- Twitter says the dimensions of your image should be 1252 by 626, but this will give you the internal server error. Use 1200 by 600 instead
- Twitter also claims that files can be as large as 5megs, but I had to keep reducing the file size (by lowering the resolution) till it was under 200kb.
- You may need to mess around with your image dimensions and size even more to get it to work, but the header looks cool once you figure it out!
