Embedding Video into SlideShare Presentations

I recently discovered that SlideShare allows YouTube video embeds into their presentations. So naturally, I had to play with this new feature!

To that end, I created an entire WordPress tutorial presentation “in videos.” Check it out, below.

The idea is the Reader can watch the videos right within the presentation. A very nice step toward a rich-media experience anyone can create.

Automatically feeding your blog posts or other RSS feeds to your Twitter stream can save a lot of time and give you peace of mind that your posts are getting extra exposure.

HootSuite offers an easy solution to this by allowing you to feed your RSS feed or blog posts to any number of Twitter accounts using their platform.

Video: Finding Your Feed URLs

Another time-saving strategy to use while streamlining or integrating your Social Web presence is to have all of your RSS feed URLs handy.

Most social sites make it easy for you to find your personal feed URL (also called a feed address), while others can be more challenging.

Your feed URL lists all your activity within a social site or service. These feeds consist of images, video, recent blog posts, presentations, tweets, whatever is relevant to a particular service.

YouTube feed URL or address
Twitter feed URL or address

Social Media Tip of the Day: Create an Integration Map

If you have a lot of Social Web accounts, you have probably integrated many of them: pulling feeds from your blog, images from Flickr, videos from YouTube, presentations from Slideshre into Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and so forth.

This can get out of hand if you don’t keep track of it all. Our tip today is to create a visual map of all the accounts you have integrated, and how they are integrated.
